Resort Vacations in Seychelles IslandsMore as one hundred islands and islets make up Seychelles, yet the total land area is only 175 square miles! There are a lot of people who think that this country is located "a million miles" away from the "civilized world", being virtually unreachable! In reality, these stunning islands are very accessible to holiday makers who are looking for luxury vacations into an exotic beach resort!
The population is close to 70,000 people and is composed by French, English, Indian, Chinese and Africans. 90% of people live on Mahe Island, the largest in archipelago, with Victoria as capital city and home to an international airport and a deep-water harbor. Most resort hotels which offer vacation packages to Seychelles are located also on this island. Even so, the shores are not crowded because the coastline features over 68 beaches and coves!
Nature conservation is very important today in Seychelles and as result many of the smaller islands restrict or forbid the travelers' access. Also, large water areas became marine parks to protect the aquatic environment. St. Anne Marine National Park, located off the coast of Mahe Island, is one of the four marine parks in Seychelles and should be included in all sightseeing tours taken in this archipelago.
